Westville Annual Nativity Scene
This nativity scene in Westville is loved by the local community and is a tradition that has been kept alive for many years. Every December there is much excitement as the scene is erected and serves as a reminder to the community of the meaning of Christmas. You’ll find this beautiful scene at the corner of Attercliffe and Lancaster Terrace in Westville, and it will be up until the 2nd of January 2022.
Candy Cane Lane at The Pavillion
Delight in the joy of Christmas with an enchanting drive-thru light experience for the whole family on the rooftop of The Pavilion Shopping Centre. If you are a Durbanite, you may have fond memories of driving through the iconic Christmas lights on Dr Pixley KaSeme Street, previously known as West Street. Now you can have this fun and magical experience at The Pavilion with a kilometre of lights and a wonderful Christmas tree that stands almost 10 metres tall. The Candy Cane Holiday Light Drive-Through Experience will be running until the 2nd of January between 6.30 pm and 9.30 pm, only closing on Christmas Day. It is fully contactless to ensure safety and comfort, including time slots to prevent overcrowding or traffic jams.

Durban Botanical Gardens Trail of Lights
There is no doubt something magical about following a trail of lights that winds its way through Africa’s oldest surviving Botanic Garden. This after-dark experience offers fun for the whole family in a safe and secure environment. You can walk the trail illuminated by millions of lights and take in the majestic gardens all lit up at night, meet festive characters scattered along the trail and visit their famous Food Garden offering some of the best proudly local cuisine. Christmas Doggy Dash
Celebrate your favourite time of the year with your fur baby and family at Giba Gorge. Dress up with your doggo in your best Christmas outfit! You can run, walk or crawl at your own pace through the lush trails of Giba Gorge. Choose between a 5km family fun walk or a 10km timed trail run. The Doggy Dash will be on the 11th of December from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, and if you love to dress up, there will be a prize for the Best Dressed Dog and Owner.
